Bio: Rev. Jan Dillard is a retired elder in the Global Methodist Church; former elder in the UMC. She was an elementary science educator and for eighteen years of her prior 25-year teaching career, she loved working with special needs children on the elementary and middle school levels before leaving the field of education to enter pastoral ministry. She has an M.Ed. degree with emphasis in Cognitive Theory from Missouri State University, and an M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary. She has been blessed by the work of being the Lead Person alongside a great team of Missourians for the Missouri Wesleyan Covenant Association Board, and now serves as Coordinator of Congregational Renewal for the Global Wesleyan Covenant Association. Jan is married to Jack, and together they have four grown children and four grandchildren, and a cat named Norman.

Welcome to “REVIVE.,” a ministry of the Wesleyan Covenant Association!

Through Jesus’ work on the Cross, and through His Holy Word, we recognize the truth of God’s overarching redemptive work through History, and we at the Wesleyan Covenant Association wish to share a sense of hope and encouragement to individuals and churches who wish to separate from the UMC, and simultaneously wish to recommit afresh to the renewing, redemptive, salvific work of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that God works through Holy Scripture and traditional and orthodox faith practices of a covenant relationship with the people of God. If you too, are seeking to move forward with those goals, connecting with the WCA and GMC leader(s) in your area can help.

We believe in the transformative power of the Bible is not merely a theological concept – it’s a reality, powered by the Holy Spirit of Christ, from Genesis to Revelation and it has the potential to bring renewal, redemption, and a deeper relationship of faith with God through Christ. We want you to know that as you seek God’s transformation, healing and renewal for yourself or your congregation, you are not alone, and there are people and resources to help you to strengthen your discipleship.

For congregations that already have disaffiliated, on our website (https://wesleyancovenant.org/revive/) you will find recordings of topics of discussion by our newly developed consultancy team, and listed resources covering everything from biblical authority and Wesleyan tradition, to prayer support; to congregational health, to financing a new church start, to legal issues with incorporation, to developing a new format and rhythm of worship, to sexuality matters, and missional focus, hosted by WCA Coordinator of Congregational Resources, Rev. Jan Dillard.

For congregations in the USA that want an in-person or video consultation to gather information and consider options for a faithful and fruitful future, our WCA regional coordinators are available to connect with you.
