The conversion kit used in the video is the “E-Bike Conversion Kit 36V 350W for Cassette with Battery and Charger”. That means it’s a fully-fledged drive train, that can potentially be used for all sorts of builds, but of course as it comes configured for a bicycle wheel, it’s meant to be a dedicated conversion kit.

The build was simple and straight forward and not really that difficult. If you’re new to this sort of DIY work, then expect at least half a day up to a day of work to get the job done properly. It’s a lot of fun though and you will learn a lot doing it.

The hardware and build quality of the kit is top notch and for the price point you get a top of the line set, especially compared to current e-bikes that you can buy!
