The desktop.ini file has puzzled many Windows users since the beginning of time. And unless you are capable of a basic Google search, you may have always wondered what it was for, and what would happen if you deleted it. This also applies to other hidden Windows system files such as hiberfil.sys, pagefile.sys, and swapfile.sys. Let's try deleting them all just to see what happens!
