The video shows the electrochemical etching process on aluminum to decorate a motorcycle. Metal etching takes place in salt water using a welding machine. To protect the metal from etching, I use an alkyd spray paint / enamel / primer. I scratch the drawing on the paint using a metal needle. For transferring the picture, I use matte lavsan tracing paper. I use a solvent such as acetone to remove the paint after etching. Etching time 14 minutes.
One of the motorcycle engine valve covers had already been engraved, so I needed to repeat the same pattern on the second cover. I decided to do it by electrochemical etching.
