🌊 ABOUT AZURE:
Azure Marine Adventure Park, or simply Azure, is a marine park located in Upstate New York that first opened in 1955 as a petting zoo and campground in the area surrounding Lake Azure, the lake that the park gets its name from.

Over the years, Azure has been expanding and hosting an ever growing collection of animals, most notably their killer whale pod: females Skana and Kona, and males Finna and Cain.

Skana and Kona have been the stars of Azure since the 2000s, with Skana being rescued in British Columbia after a boat strike that damaged permanently 60% of her hearing; and Kona being illegally captured as a calf in Iceland, and transferred to Azure after animal activists pressured the Canadian roadside aquarium she lived in.

Apart from them, the park also has a successful breeding program for Bottlenose Dolphins since the 1970s, with over 40 successful births, and a rescue center for both aquatic and terrestrial wildlife.
