Tom Cruise was born on July 3, 1962 in Syracuse, New York. He landed his first film in 1981 in Endless Love, and was made famous by the 1983 film Risky Business. He went on to star in Top Gun, The Color of Money, Rain Man, and Born on the Fourth of July, which earned Cruise his first Academy Award nomination. Cruise became an outspoken supporter of Scientology after marrying actress Mimi Rogers in 1987. The couple divorced, and Cruise married actress Nicole Kidman in 1990. In the 90s, Cruise starred in several blockbusters including A Few Good Men, Interview With A Vampire, and Mission Impossible. He earned his second Oscar nomination in 1996 for Jerry McGuire. In 2001, Cruise and Kidman divorced, and in 2005 he famously declared his love for actress Katie Holmes. After six years of a highly public marriage, Cruise and Holmes divorced in 2012. #Biography
