~ From cicero illinois they formed in '62 as 'gary & the knight lites' releasing tons of singles till a name change to 'the american breed' brought them huge success with this pop classic from '68...they began to appear on many t.v.shows where their clean cut and 'with it' style was perfect for the shows and young teenage fans....the group were : gary loizzo/lee grazanio/al ciner & chuck colbern...by '69 it was all over for the group with colbert in a band named 'smoke' & ciner in another band called 'the brigade' and to cut along story short both bands swapped members and became 'ask rufus' then 'rufus' with new singer chaka khan out front they cut the great ' tell me something good' and massive chart success....this isn't a particulary rare film of the group but i recorded it many years back and have done an edit for a better quality image which hopefully your appreciate? future albums would have the group advertising 'baldwin guitars & amps with drums by premiere' enjoy!....
