Wangkang Hill is in West Kalimantan Province, Kubu Raya Regency. The journey from the center of Pontianak City is approximately 3 hours to Ambawang Village where we started the climb. Wangkang Hill is relatively low, namely only 400 MDPL. However, even though it is low, there are lots of unique flora and fauna that we can find during the climb.

Yesterday, just the four of us went, the journey was supposed to only take 2 hours to get to the hill. However, due to lots of stops, it took us approximately 4 hours to get to the top. When we arrived at the top, we immediately set up the tent and there was not much empty land for us to pitch the tent.

We left in the afternoon at around 15:00 WIB from Pontianak City. Then arrived at Ambawang Village at around 18:00 WIB. We were a bit late because when we arrived at Rasau Jaya, we decided to pray and shop for supplies first. Yesterday I bought snacks and pop noodles. The total budget I spent on petrol and food was around Rp. Just 150,000.

The climbing track is quite steep, but for friends who have never climbed before and want to try climbing, this is the right hill.
