The pen is made entirely of metal.The main components, the barrel and the cap, are crafted from solid silver using the ancient sculptural technique of lost-wax casting.
The other metal parts are made of yellow gold-plated brass, except for the brush-shaped clip, in vermeil silver.
The barrel and cap are also covered with a colored enamel, hand-painted by our artisans on each individual pen to recreate Van Gogh’s most famous painting: The Starry Night.
