On the final leg of our gran tour of the west. We pick up our Vlog leaving Nevada where we had attended the Bronco Raptor Offroadeo. If you haven't seen that video yet then make sure to check it out sometime. We dropped our asset off at the Airport and headed east towards the Hoover Dam. The Hoover Dam, named after President Herbert Hoover, was constructed in 1931 and creates Hydro electric power and the reservoir known as Lake Meade. Its Mind Boggling to look down at the Dam from the Pat Tillman Bridge, our brains just cant quite comprehend the scale of it.

Next stop was the Grand Canyon and again I was not prepared for the shear size of the canyon. We wanted to camp in this area but it would have put us a day behind and we still had Colorado on our Radar.

Back on the Road and heading in the direction of Colorado and the Alpine Loop. We were able to make it as far as Cortez Colorado and I needed to shut down for a few hours. We found the coolest (retro) Motel (Baymont Inn and Suites) that brought back a flood of memories from my childhood. It had a big atrium with a pool and the whole property just smelled clean. Getting a late start we pressed on and were able to land in Ouray, Colorado in time for lunch at the Ouray Brewery. Awesome time would have loved to have soaked up more time here but we needed to be hitting the trail. We grabbed some food at the Market next door and headed to the trail head at Engineer Pass. Engineer pass was beutiful and this was my second time here so I knew where we were going to make camp. After ascending the pass we made our way back to the Poughkeepsie Gulch trail head and made camp next to Cold Creek. This is my favorite spot in the area. The next day after landing in the Ouray area specifically to hit the wall, an obstacle on Poughkeepsie, I learned that the trail was not quite ready to open yet. Trail mitigation had not been performed yet due to the amount of snow they had received in the winter. Bummer, my second attempt at the wall will have to wait for another time. With that we made our way back to Silverton aired up and drove 17 hours straight back to Arkansas. Thanks for watching.
