DIY custom printed and branded wood coasters and fridge magnets made with a home printer and basic tools using a sustainably harvested tree limb/log. This simple wood working project can easily be made at home and makes for a great, customized DIY gift!

As far as woodworking projects go, making these coasters and magnets is as simple as it gets and perfect for beginner wood workers. You will simply be cutting a limb or log on a miter saw into cookies (discs), sanding them, branding and/or transferring a print, and sealing with lacquer. Plus there are optional steps for converting the finished drink coasters into fridge magnets.  The best part is being able to brand or transfer your own image, logo, or graphic onto the wood using your home printer. Despite their simplicity, the potential for creativity and customization is endless!

I’ve learned a lot making these many times now and have included tips and tricks along the way to help you get the best results and make this a fun project. If you have any questions, please post in the comments.
