On 14 September 2024, Toronto Ward 18 Councillor; Lily Cheng, led a 25 kilometre community bike ride to promote cycling and BikeShare in Willowdale. The event started at Avondale Park and passed through local neighborhoods to the Don Mills Trail, with a rest stop at Evergreen Brickworks. Around 65-70 participants joined, with many using BikeShare bikes. The ride showcased various cycling routes in Toronto, supported by volunteers, and highlighted the importance of safe biking infrastructure for children. The event concluded at The Esplanade, with some participants taking public transit back to Willowdale.
