Why do I do C2C? I want to reach out to as many people as possible that have yet to overcome compelling obstacles in their lives. We grow in numbers. We connect through our vulnerabilities and we grow together. After hitting several “rock bottoms”, the turning point that put me on the road to recovery was when I saw my youngest daughters face as she was being taken away from me— the unconditional love in her eyes— after so many times of failing her and so many other people... In that moment, I received the gift of desperation. I became aware that I’m not living for myself anymore. I have to commit to a life of service and be of service to someone else. My God is an unconditionally loving God and no matter what you do, he’s going to love you through it. To maintain my sobriety and balance for wellness, I know that I can’t do this by myself. I have to ask God to point me in the right direction. I have to suit up, show up, and make myself available to receive help, and then let God guide me. Recovery has taught me to be fully transparent— to confront my fears— to combat my fears. It’s a process of gaining progress and not perfection. Small victories turn in to big victories over time. #courage2change #confrontyourfears #takeaction #connect #beofservice #pray #putonyourmask #pourloveintoothers #selfawareness #selfinventory #dotheinsidework #healthyrelationships #faithoverfear #itsallaboutthegetbackgame
