We continue our Irish travel vlog with the afternoon of Day 8 of our Ireland Road Trip, heading east on the Causeway Coastal Route to the Castlerock area to see Mussenden Temple and Downhill Demesne.
One of the National Trust Ireland properties, it's a site of amazing natural beauty overlooking the North Atlantic, steeped in history and scandal.

Come along with us as we visit the ruins of Downhill House and learn its colorful history and lore, from leapfrogging priests to headless memorials to philandering bishops and more.

We'll check out the views from the cliff top from Donegal to Port Stewart, and see the beautiful Mussenden Temple, one of the most photographed landmarks in Northern Ireland. Overlooking Downhill Strand (or Beach), it perches 120 feet above the Atlantic, and you'll hear about efforts to keep it from falling off the edge into the ocean.
