OFFLINE MODE
Service maintenance - there are cases where our service maintenance requires us to take Fusion 360 offline for a specific timeframe. This timeframe is communicated through an in-product banner 72 hours before the maintenance is scheduled to happen. Once the maintenance begins, Fusion 360 goes offline. Also, the Job Status icon is changed to, followed by a message saying "we're currently updating our services".

Unexpected outage - when we detect an unexpected outage, Fusion 360 will automatically go into the offline mode as a fail-safe. Also, the Job Status icon is changed to, followed by a message saying "we're currently updating our services".

No internet connection - when it detects that you are not connected to the internet. Also, the Job Status icon is changed to, followed by a message saying "no Internet connection"

Toggle to offline - when you manually enter offline mode - see the procedure below.

Offline mode is indicated by the changed "Job Status" icon in the upper-right corner.

When offline, you cannot perform certain file operations such as upload. Also, you cannot create new folders, branches, merge branches, or create milestones. However, you can still continue to work on your designs in offline mode.

In the Data Panel, un-cached designs are grayed out whereas cached designs are active, ready for access. You cannot open un-cached items.

Note that some un-cached items may have the thumbnails available while others do not. The thumbnails are created when you scroll the project in the Data Panel.

You can work offline for up to a period of two weeks if needed. After this, Fusion 360 will need to sync back online so that you can stay on the latest version.
