A long-standing wish of Calefax is coming true: a collaboration with artist and inventor Theo Jansen. He is known for his beach animals, impressive creatures made of PVC pipes that move independently in the wind. Composer Ned McGowan wrote new music especially for this project. The instruments are also made of PVC pipe. 'Strandbeest Zingt' will be performed during the Oerol Festival 2024.
