"I was approached by a friend telling me that an artist from Berlin was over for just one night and it was worth dropping everything to record him. I had a quick listen to his bands stuff and agreed that this session needed to go ahead!
I only had a couple of hours to o.k filming on a friends broken down boat, thankfully she agreed and just as the sun was setting we recorded 3 tracks. As we began to pack our equipment away a small tug towing some very interesting floating sculptures floated past and I asked if it was possible to film on them.
In a typically accommodating 'boaty' way they allowed us to jump on and we recorded the last two tracks using the very last of the beautiful summer sun. (One of the tracks was made up, purely on the spot - very much in keeping with the spontaneous feel of the day!)"
