Hurricane Helene was a disastrous hurricane that took the lives of many people and destroyed thousands of homes. Hurricanes and tropical storms are no laughing matter and even people who aren't in the direct path can be affected severely. We were very fortunate that we did not take a direct hit from this storm, but for anyone curious, this video shows the damage that a mature food forest can experience from tropical storm force winds blowing constantly for 8+hours (we had gusts over 50 mph).
