Trevor works on a head horse to help him get a little sharper in his facing to complete the run. With ropings like the Ariat World Series of Team Roping jackpots paying as much as they do, a horse with a sharp, smooth face can mean the difference between winning a good check or winning the roping. It was a little windy when the video was shot, but this will really help a head horse if you pay close attention.

It's important to drag something a little lighter, that has some movement, will continue to come on it's own a little and make your horse a little watchy. This drill will also help a horse that has some problems facing when they get into the left fence.

Disclaimer: This drill is a little hard on the horns of the dummy, so you may want to use another object, maybe a lighter barrel, to drag if you don't want to have to replace the horns.
