Piano lead deep bassed ambience. Makes you relax and sway to the groove.

I began this project on the fly. Simply jamming with the midi keyboard set to a piano setting. I decided to hit record and by the afternoon, with the exception of the bass line, I had all the bones to this. Even my 3-year-old daughter added 3 notes to a riff which I kept in place.
I normally work with a kick and bass from the start, but the original kick drum on this (now swapped out), had a long envelope so it still drove the groove on.
The bass line came for real the following day along with another pad, some mastering adjustments, and a Cymbal with a delay.
I cannot believe how quickly this came together and how pleasant it sounds.
The most time-consuming part was the drum kit (as I call it). It is not a sampled pre-made loop - I tend not to go down that route - I like full control and edit-ability so I build percussion from each element and leave them separate on the playlist. Just my way of working. I have never made a beat like this before, so this was a new and enjoyable challenge.
