I am dangerous when I go shopping alone sometime :)

Came home with a Garmin Striker 4 fish finder, plastic ammo box, 7 Ah battery and charger and built a portable fish finder for the kayaks.

Fish finder was $110, ammo box $5, battery $24 and charger around $12 if I remember correctly.

The battery is velcroed into place, I cut up a wine cork to screw onto the ends of the screws used to mount the finder to the side of the box, and there is room inside to store the charger. Drilled a hole in the side of the box for the power cable.

Also made a DIY portable transducer mount for my Lifetime Tamarack kayak.
