Carmelo Anthony is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the New York Knicks. Selected with the third pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets, Melo grew into one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history. He later departed to the New York Knicks with aspirations to bring a championship to New York. However, during his 13 seasons of play, Carmelo was only able to make the playoffs twice, where his team was ousted in the first round. Teaming up with Derrick Rose and a new-look Knicks squad, Melo hopes to once again be a force to be reckoned with.
