Hello Everyone,
Welcome to second location of monsoon trails-Shimoga. I went on a solo trip to Shimoga for 2 days. On my first day, I went to Jog falls and Nipli falls.Nipli falls is around 12kms from jog falls.

Jog Falls
---------------------------
Jog Falls is a waterfall on the Sharavati river located in the Western Ghats. It is the third highest plunge waterfall in India.Jog falls drops from a height of around 253 meters.
If you want to trek to the top of the waterfall then you have to take tourist department guide with you. Please do not try to venture on your own as it is very dangerous. Always go with the guide.

Nipli falls or Husur falls
----------------------
Husur Dam back water creates a small but beautifull waterfalls called Nipli Water Falls or Husur waterfalls. You can see this waterfalls only during monsoon.
Husur Dam is situated at a distance of 1 km inside the village of halgeri on the way to jogfalls from siddapur.

I stayed at Honnasiri Residency.
