Bridging the Racial Wealth Gap through Entrepreneurship! ✨

Enjoy this recap of Black & Bankable Kansas by Companion Projects Media, LLC!

This Fall, Kansas' black and brown entrepreneurs united at KU Innovation Park, driven by the quest for capital and business growth. Guided by Makisha Boothe, Sistahbiz Global Network's visionary founder, they navigated funding hurdles and mastered essential tools for success.

Collab Capital's equity discussion offered a roadmap for funding, and a Fireside Chat with multi-7-figure black entrepreneurs, Abdul & Alicia Yahaya of Open Minds Child Development Center, ignited dreams of success. Attendees also explored vital certification programs from the Kansas Department of Commerce and an insightful Access to Capital Panel Discussion featuring national and local financial institutions and entrepreneurial resource partners.

Sustained by delectable meals from Hazim Alexander of TOP SHELF Cheffin’ —shfx, these transformative discussions thrived.

A special shout-out to Black:30, KU Innovation Park, the City of Lawrence, Kansas - Municipal Government for hosting this essential event!
