My first experience was with the Xbox port of Half-Life 2, and I always thought it was an amazing sounding game, but as I grew older I never got this same feeling while playing the PC version. Turns out that I was not crazy and the Xbox version does INDEED sound better, mostly due to its custom chip. Wish this could be brought to the PC version one day.
