I got up before sunrise to walk along Southwark Bridge (next one along from to London Bridge), and this combined with the footage I took whilst walking along Whitehall, around Trafalgar Square and approaching the front of the People’s Vote March (didn’t say the B word!) on March 23rd. You might also spot some Extinction Rebellion placards as well.

I wrote the song earlier in the year, before these protests, but the political, social and environmental issues which lead to these marches were on my mind when I wrote it, so it felt right to have them visually represented alongside the song.
Southwark Bridge is a lovely almost hidden bridge, right in the centre of London - usually a busy and noisy place. But in quiet times like this, the River Thames is a beautiful calm place for contemplation.
The two settings represent the contrast in the song - “we’ve got love, we’ve got lots, but we got lost along the way”.
We are all human. If we saw a fellow human hurt we would want to help them. But in these strange supposedly modern times, we seem to be causing more damage than ever to ourselves and each other. Let’s remember to love ourselves and love everyone else.
