Version 5.0 is expected to be released on August 28th. We are still a month and eight days away from that, but we have already received data from the beta testers on the number of Primogems we will get in the next patch, and the numbers are huge. Version 5.0 is going to be one of the most rewarding patches of all time in Genshin, as the number of wishes has exceeded 100. So, let's start counting the gems, shall we?

Starting with the server maintenance compensation: as soon as the 5.0 update is rolled out, we will get 600 Primogems through our in-game mail from Hoyoverse. After that, the daily commissions: as always, the update will last for 42 days, so 42 times 60 is 2,520 Primogems. The Paimon Shop will reset twice during the 5.0 update, first on September 1st and the second time on October 1st, so you can get 10 Intertwined and 10 Acquaint Fates from the Paimon Shop.

As we all know, we will get two new 5-star characters in version 5.0: Maulani and Kinich, along with rerun banners for Raiden Shogun and Kazuha. Therefore, we will get 2 story quests for the new 5-star characters and 4 character trials as well, from which we can get a total of 200 Primogems.

Since we are getting a new map, we will get around 2,300 Primogems from exploration, which is really good considering the low number of Primogems we are getting in the current patch. A new map also has a bunch of new world quests, and we can get around 700 for completing all world quests. This map will also feature 46 teleport waypoints, so add 230 Primogems for that as well.

We are also getting a new offering system in version 5.0, and we can get around 800 Primogems or 5 wishes from there. Other than this, the new patch will also add new achievements, and you can get around 100 Primogems if you manage to get all of them.

Moving on to the events: the main event of 5.0 is called Traces of Artistry, and we will get 1,000 Primogems and a free 4-star catalyst, along with a Crown of Insight and some other level-up materials. Besides the main event, we will get 3 mini-events as well, each rewarding 420 Primogems, so we can get a total of 2,260 Primogems from the events in 5.0.

Now, the most important thing: the anniversary rewards. As you all know, we will be celebrating the 4th anniversary of Genshin Impact on September 28th, and Hoyoverse will give us a 7-day login event that gives 10 Fates, and will also send 1,600 Primogems via our in-game mail, so we will get 20 extra pulls in the 5.0 update.

Moving on to the Spiral Abyss and the Imaginarium Theatre: the Spiral Abyss will reset only once during the 5.0 update, rewarding us with 800 Primogems. As for the Imaginarium Theatre, it will reset twice on September 1st and October 1st, so we can get 1,240 Primogems from this.

They are also adding a new map in the Serenitea Pot, and we will get 120 Primogems from that. Lastly, the 5.1 Special Program: we will get 3 redeem codes from Hoyoverse worth 100 Primogems each, so we can get a total of 300 Primogems from those codes.

After adding all these numbers, we will get around 17,660 Primogems or 110 wishes. This is a huge number considering the number of Primogems we have received in the last four patches. So this time, you are guaranteed to get a 5-star character if you're a free-to-play player.
