There are lots of ways to turn a bowl and in this video, I demonstrate how to turn a small walnut bowl with four legs, from one solid piece of wood. These are pretty fun to make, especially since I figured out some easier ways to do some of the sculpting tasks involved. Because of the number of steps involved, this video is bit on the longer side. With this particular piece, I played around with the proportions a bit and made a narrower and taller piece (which is a little more difficult than a wider, lower version due to the angles of the legs). You will notice that I have to remount the piece several times to complete it, and I also have to work some pretty tricky angles to avoid hitting the spinning legs. I make several different versions of these bowls, including natural edge pieces and pieces with wings rather than legs. I'm sure I'll make another video with a different version in the not too distant future. Please let me know what you think and if you have any project requests! Thanks so much for watching!
