‪@rbhsound‬ just unveiled a new Active modular tower speaker system called the UNRIVALED SFTR series. The top module features a dual 8" MTM with their flagship AMT tweeter found in their flagship SVTRS system. The 8" driver is a new design better suited for midrange duties thanks the addition to shorting-rings and a new voice coil. The bottom module features dual 12" subwoofer drivers in a sealed enclosure. Both modules incorporate their patent-pending Granual Acoustic Damping System (G.A.D.S).

Shane Rich, Technical Director of RBH Sound flew down to install a prototype fully active version of this speaker called the SFTR/AX. The SFTR/AX uses the same driver compliment as the regular SFTR, but the analog crossovers are replaced with active DSP. Shane says "think of this system as a mini SVTRS system but in a more compact form".

In this video we go over the details of this new active speaker system with Shane. We show some preliminary in-room measurements compared to our Revel F328be speakers to demonstrate the power of an active, DSP tuned loudspeaker system.
