We saw this turn into a reality at the Pindi Stadium when the Match between England and Pakistan turned on its head in the Final Session of play. The First Test Match at Pindi saw the English Bowling unit make a meal of the Pakistani batsmen in the Final Match on a dead track. Pakistan dug their own grave by going for such a pitch, which suited England’s strength – Batting. The Pakistani batters could not survive on their home ground on the Final Day themselves owing to some great seam and swing bowling.

The Englishmen stayed good on their words of getting a Result on this Pitch. Anderson and Robinson toiled all day with a great display of reverse swing bowling. Anderson was the Star of the Final Session!

England started the day strong with Imam-ul-Haq going back to the pavilion early on. Rizwan, the new batter, went into his shell for 23 balls when he stayed at naught. Rizwan played a variety of shots and along with Saud Shakeel dominated the First Session. However, both batters fell early in the 2nd Session after Lunch with the injured Azhar Ali taking guard with Salman.

The Final Session saw Pakistan battle it out with the English team as the First Test came to its Final Conclusion! Agla Salman went down early to Robinson. He was soon followed by the injured Azhar Ali, after which there was no turning back.

The England Bowlers along with their Captain gave it their all in this flat pitch where more than half the time, it would have ended in a draw. Apart from Winning this match emphatically, they made it extremely interesting from Day 1. All credit to the Visiting team to make a match out of a Certain Draw! It may be a far reach, but the English seemed in control on all days of the match with razor sharp focus and concrete game plans.
