The tractor is fired up and I'm out working the soil today as I try to level a field with a box blade. Tune in today to see how my box blade basic setup works to take the high spots out of my field without much effort at all. There is a bit of a technique to angling the box blade to prevent the scarifiers from digging in and allow the box blade to do its thing. I"ll be using both blades on my MK Martin 84" box blade today as I pull and push soil towards a smooth surface. Surprisingly, my 2012 Kioti DK 40se HST cab tractor with a mere 40hp at the engine, pulls this box blade without trouble. As you'll see in the video, the only trouble I sometimes encounter when working wet soil is loss of traction. With 4 wheel-drive I still find the industrial R4 tractor tires can slip. Luckily, that's not the case today as things are off to a good start. As I near the end of my land-levelling, I use one last tool in combination with my ATV to finalize this project. My chain harrow works wonders at giving the top layer just one last smoothing en route to the final step of adding grass seed. It's been a good day all around out here. Thanks for watching folks.
