I couldn't believe what happened while fishing this BEAUTIFUL river... and the last fish absolutely blew my mind! This is one of those fishing trips I won't forget, with a good handful of rare and unexpected fish/species. I love lure fishing rivers, especially trout fishing and salmon fishing. With trout season about a month away, I thought i'd have a go at trying to catch a salmon in Winter. Everyone I spoke to said it was next to impossible to catch a salmon at this time of year, in the river i was fishing. Fortune favours the brave though, and we were definitely rewarded for taking a gamble!
