Sioux Links attended the public meeting on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Elmwood Clubhouse hosted by the City of Sioux Falls and Landscapes Golf Management, Inc. They discussed the progress on the design for the new Elmwood Golf Course Clubhouse, cart storage, and First Tee Headquarters. We learned about the state-of-the-art facility that will serve our city for the next 50 years. Don Kearney, Director of Parks & Recreation, began the discussion, and Todd Stone, Principal at Architect Stone Group Architects, followed him. Justin Arlt, Market Manager, provided valuable answers to the Q&A session, as did Tory Miedema, Park Development Specialist. The new clubhouse will be larger and more modern and will support player, golf, and community needs. Construction on the new clubhouse and cart storage is expected to begin in the spring of 2024 and be completed in 2025. This project is a collaboration between the City of Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation, Landscapes Golf Management, and First Tee of South Dakota - SDGA.
