In July, When the Floods Come won the BAFTA Student Film Award for Documentary. The short documentary was directed by Nyal Mueenuddin from The University of the West of England in the United Kingdom.

When the Floods Come is a personal documentary film that chronicles a 3000-kilometer journey along the Indus River, tracing its course from the glaciers of the Himalayas to the plains of Sindh, Pakistan. In 2022, devastating climate change-induced flooding wreaked havoc along this iconic river, altering the lives of countless communities. It is a poignant tribute to the enduring spirit of those who call the Indus River their home and a stark reminder of the urgent need for climate action.
