It's been said that Tom McCarthy's roller coaster life is worthy of a Hollywood movie.

In the first chapter of his life, Tom McCarthy was a young hockey legend, best known for being drafted ahead of Wayne Gretzky. Soon he’d be a 40-goal scorer, an NHL All Star and would twice play in the Stanley Cup finals.

But In the second life chapter of his life, the NHL star would trade his hockey uniform for an orange jumpsuit in maximum security US federal prison

At rock bottom, he cried out, “I had my chance … my life is over.”
