On the surface, the INFJ and INTP personality styles appear to be diametrically opposed. INTPs are often referred to as “the inventor” type. Albert Einstein is a well-known example of an INTP. INFJs are sometimes referred to as "the advisor" category and are exemplified by historical figures such as Nelson Mandela. While Albert Einstein and Nelson Mandela can seem to be very different people, if their form analysis is right, these world-changing men have a lot more in common than many people realize.

I enjoy spending time with INTPs because I am an INFJ personality style. I admire their intelligence, thoughtful perspective, and peculiar sense of humor. More than any other kind, the INTP is the one with whom I feel I can investigate the mysteries of the universe one minute and then collapse on the floor laughing at a ridiculous YouTube video the next.

INTPs and INFJs have a lot in common. In reality, according to Dr. A.J. Drenth of Personality Junkie, INFJs and INTPs are often referred to as "the golden pair." These two personalities have the ability to be extremely compatible in both friendships and romantic relationships.
