The Enchantments has been on my bucket list for a long time and Isabel and I finally completed it. We set out on a month-long road trip through the PNW with our first stop in Washington being Leavenworth. The magical Bavarian town is the perfect entrance to the enchantment wilderness.

The hike itself took us just under 12 hours. We took the shuttle from Snow Lake to Colchuck Lake trailhead where we began our hike at 5am. The hike itself goes through one of the most beautiful areas of the US I've seen. Hiking through lake after lake, scrambling over mountain passes, and diving into enchanted and vibrant forests. This hike is one of the most beautiful I've done in my life.

The hike totaled around 20 miles and 5k vertical feet according to our Strava. Of course, if you can get a permit it would be wonderful to spend a night camping out in this wilderness but thru-hiking it still allows you to enjoy the beauty (plus carry far less weight on your back).

There are plenty of water sources to filter water. I recommend bringing a good amount of food as we ran out with 5 miles still left. Make sure to check the weather and be prepared for any conditions. Also, make sure to have the AllTrails downloaded as there is some route finding along the way.

Any questions on the hike drop a comment!
