Louise Allan’s yard is widely recognised as the smallest stable in Newmarket, with just a handful of horse boxes tucked away in the centre of town.

But despite being based in the historic racing headquarters, life is by no means a walk in the park for an operation as small as Louise’s.

Elliot Hawkins went down to Marlborough House Stables to see how the team’s daily routine and facilities compare to those of racing’s elite.
