It was a gorgeous day in June at the Reading Airport for the second day of the Mid Atlantic Airshow - World War 2 Weekend. I've been looking forward to this day for over 2 years! Riding in one of only 2 remaining B-29's. Here we have FiFi and the other is Doc. FiFi is flown by the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) based out of Dallas Tx and the B-29 Doc is located in Wichita, Kan. Both planes are a testament to a time that shaped world history. If you ever get a chance to see or ride in these planes, please do so. It will be an experience of a life time!! My experiences with FiFi are presented here so that I have the best record possible of that day and perhaps it may help you decide to also experience something so few have. Not to mention that everyone from the CAF was extremely friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable with sharing what they know of our 'living' history of the 'not so distant past'.
