Over 300 military vehicles travel as a convoy into Isigny-sur-Mer, Normandy, during the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Several tanks led the convoy made up of armored cars, trucks and Jeeps. This event was the Liberty Convoy organised by the Military Vehicle Conservation Group (MVCG).

Isigny-sur-Mer was liberated by the US Army's 175th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division and 747th Tank Battalion on June 9th, 1944 during World War 2. Read more: https://www.dday-overlord.com/en/batt...

This anniversary of D-Day marks 80 years since allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy to liberate France and the rest of Europe from the Nazis in World War II. The event commemorates the allied invasion and thanks the veterans who took part, while also remembering the thousands who perished on June 6th, 1944 - and onwards.
