یکی از بلندترین آبشارهای مازندران آبشار گزو که در دل جنگل قرار گرفته، آبشار گزو. مسیر رسیدن به آبشار گزو با این‌که طولانی‌ست، آنقدر باصفاست که احساس خستگی به سرعت رخت برمی‌بندد. هوای خوب و درخت‌های بلند و خود آبشار گزو، هر آدم ناامیدی را می‌تواند به زندگی برگرداند.
آبشار گزو در حوزه‌ شهرستان سوادکوه و ۲۵ کیلومتری شهر زیرآب واقع شده است. در قلب منطقه‌ جنگلی لفور در سوادکوه شمالی. همان منطقه‌ای که یکی از علت‌های معروف شدنش سد لفور است، هرچند هنوز هم جزو مناطق بکر شمال ایران محسوب می شود.
مسیر رسیدن آبشار گزو طولانی‌ست و باید خیلی پیاده روی کنید، حدود ۴۰ کیلومتر جاده خاکی را می‌توانید با ماشین بروید(ماشین مناسب) و به امامزاده گزو که رسیدید ماشین را در پارکینگش پارک کنید و بقیه مسیر را که نیم ساعت است پیاده بروید. ممکن است همه‌ مسیر رسیدن آبشار گزو را روی نقشه نبینید؛ بنابراین بهتر است آدمی که مسیر را بشناسد همراهتان باشد.
ارتفاع آبشار گزو ۴۸ متر است و از دو آبشار تشکیل شده که اولی ۵ متر و ارتفاع دومی به ۴۳ متر می‌رسد و در پایینش حوضچه‌ایست که می‌توان درآن تنی به آب زد.
قبل از حرکت از وضعیت ماشین مطمئن شوید. نکته‌ی مهم بعدی این است که وضعیت هوا را به‌طور دقیق چک کنید. بارانی بودن هوا و خیس شدن زمین، حرکت شما را به ویژه در راه برگشت، با دشواری روبرو می‌کند.
نیمه‌ بهار تا نیمه‌ پاییز زمان مناسبی برای سفر به این منطقه است. البته در تابستان هوا خیلی گرم است و شرجی هوا هم مزید بر علت می‌شود که نتوانید آنقدرها هم که باید لذت ببرید، به خصوص که باید خیلی هم پیاده‌روی کنید.
چه وسایلی همراه ببریم؟
کفش مناسب مهمترین چیزی است که برای دیدن آبشار گزو باید همراه داشته باشید، چون قرار است حسابی پیاده‌روی کنید. پیشنهاد می‌کنیم آب کافی، غذای سبک، ضد آفتاب، کلاه، عینک آفتابی، لباس اضافه، جعبه‌ کمک‌های اولیه، حوله و باتوم برای پیاده روی همراهتان باشد.
قبل از حرکت از وضعیت ماشین مطمئن شوید، از آنجایی که مسیر خاکی‌ست باید ماشینتان آفرود باشد. در پل سفید می‌توانید بنزین بزنید.
نکته‌ مهم بعدی این است که وضعیت هوا را حتما چک کنید. بارانی بودن هوا و خیس شدن زمین، برگشتتان را سخت می‌کند.

The height of Gazou Waterfall is 48 meters and it consists of two waterfalls, the first one is 5 meters and the second one is 43 meters high.
