In this video I will show how I replaced the 2 bearings in the left tape roller of my Otari MX-55 N-M.

The left roller was a bit too noisy for my liking. I suppose it was due to it's age, although the Otari is probably somewhere from around 1990. And it is not uncommon for tape decks, even my Studer A80 has needed bearing replacement. I think the better the machine is, the more there is a need to keep it in tip-top condition.

The rollers are 607-2Z SKF
