We have launched today Lea Salonga's version of "Lipad," theme song of "Dayo sa Mundo ng Elementalia," an all-digital, full-length animated film entry to the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Music by Jessie Lasaten, executive producer and musical scorer. Lyrics by Temi Abad, Jr.

The song was recorded with the FILharmoniKA, conducted by Gerard Salonga.

The animated film's original soundtrack recording, under the Sony BMG (Philippines) label, will be available in stores soon.

Support "Dayo" as it opens in Philippine cinemas on December 25, 2008.

Dayo, second most awarded entry in 2008 MMFF

Dayo sa Mundo ng Elementalia, the Philippines first all-digital, full-length animated feature and official entry to the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) was second most awarded in the festivals awards rites held at the Harbor Garden Tent, Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila last Saturday night, December 27. Dayo won Best Visual Effects (Robert Quilao), Best Musical Score (Jessie Lasaten; recorded with the FILharmoniKA conducted by Gerard Salonga), Best Theme Song ("Lipad" by Jessie Lasaten and Temi Abad, Jr.; performed by Lea Salonga with the FILharmoniKA conducted by Gerard Salonga), and Best Sound (Whannie Dellosa and Mike Idioma).
