DIY speakers based on the vintage AX Two produced in Denmark decades ago. New tweeters, used woofer with external crossover, silver cable for all wiring, Mundorf aluminium oil capacitors, Jantzen inductors and MOX resistors. Point to point soldering.
Crystal clear, dynamic and extended sound. Tweeter and woofer extremely coherent (thanks to well designed and simple crossover). Balanced and Musical – I could listen to it for hours without feeling fatigue. Better bass depth than a lot of bookshelf speakers.
One of my most satisfying DIY projects so far!
