In this video we work on our honey bee hives and do beekeeping. Bees are another backyard farm animal we have, and this one is a pollinator. It's becoming a homestead zoo with these and the chickens!

We add two 3lb boxes of bees with queens to our existing hives. We get help from our ride on power wheels toy truck and trailer to bring empty hive chambers down. Then we dump in the bees and insert the queen chambers. After a few days we check the hives to ensure all the bees have left the box they were shipped in. Later in the season we are ready to harvest honey. We take honeycomb from the hive and haul it home with our toy truck and trailer. Then we extract honey using our capping fork and cheesecloth. We got so much honey from just one plate! In the educational segment we learn how Langstroth beehives work.

Come pretend play with us! Join us kids, toddlers, girls, and boys as we use our ride on toy trucks, toy tractors, and toy equipment to do construction, farming, and home improvement pretend play projects. While we play our games and drive our vehicles, we learn about engineering, science, STEM, and how things work in our educational segment.

Thank you for watching Kid Crew!
