How to train your dog to wear a head halter. Gentle Leaders are one of the most common forms of head halters. In this tutorial, I show you how to introduce the Walk n Train brand head halter so that your dog learns to accept wearing the halter without fighting it. The first step to condition your dog to a head halter is to use food to slip it on and off the dog. The more you practice conditioning gentle leaders, haltis, etc, the easier the dog will get accustomed to wearing it.
