DIY Jack Sparrow Compass (Cheap and Easy - Cardboard)

A little cardboard and a smidge of craft foam will get you nice DIY Jack Sparrow compass replica, just perfect for leading you to your heart's desire (which is of course the full Jack Sparrow costume, right?) Had a request for a DIY Jack Sparrow costume tutorial from PhStriker2001 and spacecowboy75d473, so this is the first part of the costume, and the rest will be coming in sections over the next several weeks.

MATERIALS USED:
Corrugated cardboard (just use an old an box)
Scissors
Geometry compass
X-acto knife
Hot glue gun
1 sheet of cardstock
small piece of 3mm craft foam
Blow dryer or heat gun
Tennis ball (to mold foam over)
Pencil
1 sewing pin
Glue that will bond metal (Power-tac: http://amzn.to/2ixOyvy)
1 Large eye screw
1 small hinge
Metallic black paint (http://amzn.to/2BFGYJQ)
Metallic gold paint (http://amzn.to/2EFEn5c)
Metallic blue paint
Off-white or cream paint
Paintbrush
Piece of string
Compass template (I used this one: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/p...)
