First time up this little creek for me and I’ll tell you what it didn’t disappoint! This is one of the reasons I love fishing the Mackay area this time of year, plenty of variety and the fish just bite their heads off. The water was surprisingly clean considering the big tides and it’s not often you get to sight cast barra in the salt but this was just one of those days where it all comes together.

Unfortunately had to cut this one short just when we found the bulk of the fish because my GoPro chest cam decided it didn’t want to work anymore…
