To celebrate Tilly's arrival in Japan we head into Dotonbori, Osaka and eat a lot of Japanese street food. Famous for street food, the area is teaming with people and awash with different sights, sounds and smells. We start with famous Japanese octopus balls which divide opinion before eating a mozzarella and waffle cheese coin to cleanse our palate. Next up is Okonomiyaki, a Japanese cross between an omelette and a pancake. We enjoy them with an ice cold Sapporo beer inside a cosy restaurant where the wheat flour and yam mixture is cooked and served right in front of you on a hot plate. Once back on the street, we drink some fresh orange juice from a vending machine and then get back on the food hunt, settling on some tasty gyozas with vinegar and soy. Full to burst, we only have room for some rice balls in sweet sauce which finish off the day nicely.
