Toe to toe comparison of two quality brands. Allen Edmonds is the go to brand if you desire American made quality. Made in Portugal, the Carlos Santos hand grade line offers exquisite looks and finer details to go along with quality construction. Both shoes cost right at $400, are good year welted, 270 degree for the Santos' and 360 degree for AE. I picked up the Allen Edmonds almost a year ago from the local AE store. They were the second AE's I'd purchased after I had bought AE Chelsea Boots. As always, my Carlos Santos shoes come from TheNobleShoe.com out of Sweden.
